Inquieto Res 2011 awarded at IWSC and Decanter

Our Inquieto Reserva 2011 won a Silver Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Awards (IWSC) 2015 and a Bronze Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) 2015 in London.

The International Wine & Spirit Awards competition was the first of its kind, and after 46 years remains the most prestigious and rigorous. The Masters of Wine, sommeliers, buyers, journalists and educators on the panel taste blind from pre-filled glasses – they never see or touch a bottle – and the panel will not give gold medals or trophies if none of the wines score highly enough. Furthermore, and unique to the IWSC competition, the wines are subject to chemical analysis, to be certain of the quality, stability and classification of the wine.

Inquieto Reserva 2011 also won a Bronze Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2015 in London, just as our Reserva 2010 did in the 2014 competition. The tasting panel described our wine in their tasting note:

«Dense plummy and blueberry aromas lead to a rich, rounded palate with supple tannins, lovely ripe fruit and well integrated oak; very good indeed.»

The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is the largest wine competition, with nearly 16,000 entries in 2015. Steven Spurrier, chairman of the DWWA said, “Our standards are high, and so are our expectations. We only award medals to wines in which consumers can have the utmost confidence.”
